Program

Our Sauli will be giving a Introduction to Arduino presentation around 12 o’clock. After that there will be Arduino kits to hack around with for the rest of the day in smaller nerd groups. You can use our kits as well as 5-10 loaners from Robomaa.com. The group session will help you with basics and provide code for connecting to Twitter.

There will be only few Ethernet Shields which are required for your Arduino to connect to the internet, so you might want to buy your own gear too. Get them from Robomaa:

Arduino Starter Kit 35,90€

Ethernet Shield 39,90€

To save time you better install some software before you arrive:

Arduino

Processing (if you get excited and wanna hook Arduino to Processing!)

Things Provided

You can make coffee or tea and use the microwave owen in the premises. There are lots of restaurants and Cafés around.

There is WIFI and some LAN spots, paper, pens & Post-its, Mac display adaptors, electricity and a large LCD screen as well as a 46″ touchscreen. Nordkapp personnel will help with any snafus that will happen.

The event will be what you make of it. See you all there!

Update on the program: In addition to Arduino hacking it seems that we might be getting a presentation about failing, and another one about creating personas the real hardcore way. At least.
